Pitso Mosimane outlines PSL clubs he won't work for
Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has hinted he would not coach a Premiership side that had no ambitions of challenging for the CAF Champions League.
Mosimane has always had major ambitions in Africa's most prestigious club competition and he famously won the crown in 2016.
Last season Sundowns went out in the semi-finals of the tournament but not before they had thrashed Egyptian giants Al Ahly 5-1 on aggregate in the quarter-finals.
As such, Downs' mentor says that playing in Africa inspires him and he could not move to another side that did not share the same ambitions.
He told reporters: "I don't know if you remember my very first interview. What brought me to Sundowns is that the team believes in the Champions League, that's one of the most important things.
"I knew that this was a sleeping giant and it has done well, we've turned things around.
"I don't know if I'll go coach a club that doesn't want to win Champions League. So that club does not have an ambition to win the [local] league, and does not have an ambition to be second on the league and does not have an ambition to win Nedbank. I mean where are we now?"
