Baroka 0-0 Bloemfontein Celtic
Baroka and Bloemfontein Celtic could not be separated at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday as they played to a goalless draw.
Baroka were controlling possession with Celtic looking content to get numbers behind the ball while looking to break on the counter-attack wherever possible.
Bakgaga came close in the 10th minute when Vusi Sibiya's glancing header from a corner went narrowly wide.
It was then time for a Celtic player to get free in the box but Harris Tchilimbou's header from a corner was straight at Elvis Chipezeze.
Soon after, the hosts responded when they surged upfield and the ball was whipped in to the box from the right-hand side with Richard Mbulu's header just missing the target via a deflection.
Celtic midfielder Lantshene Phalane then forced Chipezeze in to a good save with a stinging long-range drive in the 20th minute.
Soon after, Tshidiso Patjie grazed the crossbar with a scorcher of a long-range effort with Mpoto getting a fingertip to the ball on its way over.
Mpoto was forced to do some more work on the half-hour mark when he produced a brilliant diving save to his left to keep out Danny Phiri's curling free-kick.
The goalkeepers were stealing the limelight and it was Chipezeze's time to extend themselves Ronald Pfumbidzai's piledriver forced him to tip the ball over the bar.
Celtic then went down to 10 men when Phalane picked up a second yellow card for a studs-up challenge on Mbulu.
Despite being a man down, Tchilimbou shot straight at Chipezeze when he should have placed his effort before Pfumbidzai shot just over with five minutes left on the clock.
Bakgaga almost snatched it at the death when Kagiso Selemela thundered his shot against the crossbar with Mpoto rooted to the spot.
But the hosts could not capitalise on their numerical advantage as the game ended 0-0.
