Al-Nasr 2-1 Bidvest Wits
Bidvest Wits fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Libyan outfit Al-Nasr in a CAF Confederations Cup Group Group C clash at Petro Sport Stadium on Sunday.
Wits remain winless in the group and have now scored just once in their four group fixtures.
Terrence Dzvukamanja put the ball in to his own net and Muhamad Alaeeli scored for the hosts while Haashim Domingo pulled a goal back for the Clever Boys but it was not enough as the men from Johannesburg go bottom of the log.
Al-Nasr took the lead in the 49th minute. Terrence Dzvukamanja got his head to the ball trying to head away a dangerous free-kick delivery but he flicked it in to his own net.
The hosts doubled their lead in the 61st minute through Muhamad Alaeeli when the Al-Nasr midfielder got on the end of a flick-on from Muetaz Husayn at the back post to poke the ball home.
Domingo pulled one back for the visitors in the 75th minute but it was a mere consolation as the Students went down to another continental defeat.
