Wits officially unveil Cameroon striker Eva Nga

Bidvest Wits have officially unveiled new signing Cameroonian striker Eva Nga and coach Gavin Hunt is delighted to have got his man.

Wits have made two signings so far this season: Eva Nga and Lorenzo Gordinho from Bidvest Wits. Hunt signed Gordinho's brother, Anthony, in 2017.

Eva Nga scored 24 goals in the Mozambique Premier League to help Costa do Sol to their tenth title last season and has been signed as a replacement for Simon Murray, who will still be sidelined for a couple of more months with a knee injury.

And Hunt admits that he has been keeeping his eye on the 26-year-old for some time now.

“I’ve been watching Eva for some time now and I like what I see. He was the top goal scorer in the Mozambican league so let’s see what transpires from here," Hunt told Wits' official website.

Wits Football Club COO Jonathan Schloss said: “We’re obviously delighted to welcome Eva: He’s an exciting striker whom we believe will thrive in our club environment. He certainly gives our coach Gavin Hunt additional ammunition upfront and we have every belief that he can emulate the form shown in Mozambique."

Eva Nga will not be available for CAF Confederations Cup matches as he is cup-tied, having played for Costa do Sol in the ongoing continental tournament.
