Chippa United v Baroka
Chippa United will be confident of registering their first victory of the new season when they host Baroka at the Sisa Dukashe Stadium on Saturday.
The Chill Boys have made a slow start to proceedings and are winless after four games, which led to the sacking of Dan Malesela.
Eric Tinkler was quickly brought in as a replacement, but did not have enough time to work with the players before their next match against SuperSport United, ending in a 2-1 defeat.
Tinkler will now fancy his chances of getting his first win at the helm having had more time with the squad during the international break.
He has also roped in former Cape Town City defender Vincent Kobola as assistant coach.
"Vincent and I spent a year at Cape Town City and by then already I was considering him as an assistant coach because Vincent has been a captain for many years. He's a leader and a great professional," Tinkler said.
"Some of the players respect him highly. When I say that I don't only refer to Cape Town City players but he gets calls from many players, be it from Chiefs or Pirates, asking for advice because he has been in the league for 16 years.
"That experience you can't buy anywhere. He is somebody I know and I trust. He is not here as a yes man because he voices his opinion like he did as my vice-captain at Cape Town City."
Meanwhile, Bakgaga have also had their own struggles after recording just one victory in five matches.
All looked to be on the right track for Wedson Nyirenda's side after bouncing back from the opening-day defeat to AmaZulu.
They got the three points against Cape Town City and also held Kaizer Chiefs to a draw, but have battled to maintain consistency since then.
Baroka lost 2-0 to Polokwane City in the Limpopo derby and followed it up with a draw at home to Highlands Park.
Thamsanqa Sangweni is out of the match for the home side as he will be serving suspension.
