Baroka v Free State Stars

Free State Stars travel to the Peter Mokaba Stadium to face Baroka FC in a Premiership clash on Wednesday.

Ea Lla Koto provided the perfect response to a difficult start to the season with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Highlands Park last time out.

The result moved Stars onto seven points from seven games into 10th place.

Baroka, meanwhile, have endured an even tougher start to their top-flight season, claiming just five points.

They come into this match on the back of a 2-1 loss to Orlando Pirates, and a 1-0 defeat to Chippa United.

Bakgaga coach Wedson Nyirenda admitted to being frustrated with his side's errors against Pirates, and is hopeful they can learn from their mistakes.

He told KickOff: "Like I said before the game, our mistakes are the same. We seem not to be getting it right at the back, we're giving away silly goals. The first goal how do you give a player of [Vincent] Pule's calibre all that space? You're committing suicide.

"The second goal was just a give-away. The goalkeeper had a miscommunication with the defender. Those are school boy mistakes.

"Then look at our chances. We had more clear chances than them in the second half. In the second half we came looking good but all those chances we gave them away. We need to work on scoring chances and defending well."

Ea Lla Koto boss Luc Eymael was, meanwhile, delighted to pick up three points against the Lions of the North, saying after the game: "It was an important three points from a scrappy game in difficult conditions.

"We didn't create so many chance but we played a good brand of soccer.

"I am very happy for the team for the fans. I hope we will continue this way and will continue on the right track."
