Links: Goals will come

Cape Town City midfielder Gift Links is confident his side will rediscover their goal scoring form following a seven-match winless streak in the Premiership.

Despite recently winning the MTN8 trophy, the Citizens have just one victory from their eight Premiership matches played so far in the 2018/19 season.

The teenage winger says his side played well against Maritzburg over the weekend, but lacked composure in the final third.

"To be honest, the game against Maritzburg was tough for us because we played three games in six days, but I cannot say we are fatigued," Links told SuperSport.

"We just need to work harder and convert our chances. I got lots of opportunities in that game and I need to work on my finishing. I'm confident I will do better in the next game.

"Coach Benni (McCarthy) always tells us to hit the target. If you don't score at least hit the target. I think it's just a matter of time and we will bury those chances."
