Chawapiwa: I've apologised to Nyirenda

Baroka winger Talent Chawapiwa has revealed that he has apologised to coach Wedson Nyirenda for not shaking his hand when taken off against Orlando Pirates.

Chawapiwa was taken off just past the hour-mark in the 2-1 defeat to the Buccaneers, and replaced by Tshediso Patjie. He did not appear happy with his coach's decision and refused to shake the former Kaizer Chiefs striker's hand.

This angered Nyirenda, who subsequently slammed Chawapiwa's attitude. However, the Zimbabwean has revealed that the pair have reconciled.

"When things are not going fine, people tend to look for mistakes. It was nothing, I spoke with the coach, and he told me what I did wrong, and I apologised so that we can work together, we both need each other," Chawapiwa told Limpopo Sports Zone.

"I still have a lot to offer, I have two years left on my contract. There is more I am expected to do, and I am happy we have sorted out things with the coach."

Chawapiwa has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs, but with Baroka sitting 15th in the Premiership, above only AmaZulu, who suffered a six-point deduction, Nyirenda will be hoping that his star player can find his best form and lift Bakgaga out of trouble.
