Micho insists Mabaso and Mbekile are in Pirates' plans
Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says new signings Abel Mabaso and Asavela Mbekile remain in his plans despite neither player seeing playing time in 2018/19.
Mabaso arrived ahead of the campaign from Chippa United whereas Mbekile joined the Sea Robbers from major rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.
The former has already been linked with a return to the Chilli Boys in January, however, Sredojevic insists that both have a future at Bucs as there are plenty of games to come in all competitions.
He said: "The two of them are the same as others, fighting for places. We are approaching the Telkom Cup, the Champions League and later on the Nedbank Cup.
"Those are the competitions where we are looking at having them [play] once they satisfy the criteria and standard that we have put in. Once they are ready to answer to those demands they will be there."
Meanwhile, Pirates are reportedly set to offer centre-back Alfred Ndengane a contract after his release by Bloemfontein Celtic.
