Komphela departs Celtic, signs with Golden Arrows

Golden Arrows have wasted little time in naming Clinton Larsen's replacement, with Steve Komphela swiftly taking up the reins just hours after parting ways with Bloemfontein Celtic.

Larsen was shown the exit door by Arrows on Thursday and the Premiership outfit moved quickly to replace him by bringing Komphela the very next day.

The club confirmed the news on their Titter account, posting the following comment: "Get your dictionaries out!! Class is in session. We can now confirm that we have appointed Steve Komphela as our new head coach.

"We welcome him and look forward to the remainder of the season."

Komphela will have just over a week to prepare his new team for a crunch clash with KZN rivals Maritzburg United on January 6.

Maritzburg, meanwhile, will also have a new head coach at the helm for the Durban derby, with Muhsin Ertugral confirmed as Fadlu Davids' replacement on Friday.
