Kekana: Kaizer Chiefs the biggest team in South Africa
Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Hlompho Kekana believes that Kaizer Chiefs are the biggest side in South Africa ahead of Saturday's clash at FNB Stadium.
Sundowns come into the first Premiership contest of 2019 needing to close an eight point gap on leaders Bidvest Wits at the top of the standings, though the Brazilians do have games in hand.
Meanwhile, Chiefs have started life brightly under coach Ernst Middendorp having won three in a row in all competitions.
Speaking to the media, Kekana said: "In matches like this, I don't think any player would look for motivation because playing at the FNB is a motivation for any player in South Africa, trying to enjoy the moment.
"I am hoping for my teammates to really go and enjoy themselves because this is a match that we really need points.
"Football lovers will really enjoy this match because obviously they have been missing the PSL action and as players, we have been preparing. So, supporters will really enjoy the match.
"It is going to be tricky because we are playing a team which is very tactical, Kaizer Chiefs, the biggest team in South Africa, we are going to experience a very tricky match so for us we need to apply ourselves like we did and stick to our plan."
Saturday's action gets underway from 15:30 in Johannesburg.
