Ertugral: Mabhuti is the only best man I could get
Maritzburg United coach Muhsin Ertugral insists that he and assistant coach Mabhuti Khenyeza have a good relationship despite reports suggesting otherwise.
The pair were said to have fallen out earlier in their respective careers at Kaizer Chiefs, though they did work together harmoniously again at Ajax Cape Town as a coach and player.
Khenyeza was recently appointed to serve as Ertugral's number two at the Team of Choice, and the Turk says that it was the media that blew up the idea that they could not work together.
He told reporters: "Look Mabhuti is the only best man I could get. He's a hard worker and has a good eagerness to win."
"We've worked together at Ajax. This thing was made big by the media, which then didn't go back to check how we are doing. We've been working and talking for years."
Meanwhile, he added that the loan signing of Mpho Matsi from Cape Town City was a positive boost for United. In addition, Ronnie Kanalelo has replaced goalkeeper coach Arthur Bartman.
The experienced mentor concluded: "I'm happy we got Mpho Matsi. I can safely say he's ready to play. About adding more players, maybe two or three [more], but for now our aim is to save this club, then we can look at the future."
