Chippa confident Mammila can 'steer the ship forward'
Chippa United chairman Siviwe Mpengesi says new Chief Executive Officer Morgan Mammila can help lead the club to success.
Mammila recently stepped down from Baroka in the same role to become CEO of the Chilli Boys.
The appointment effectively brought to an end the tenure of former incumbent Peter Koutroulis.
Mammila is expected to be at Orlando Stadium on Tuesday night when Chippa take on Orlando Pirates in a Premiership encounter.
In a statement, Mpengesi said: "Morgan has been credited with the sterling job he did at turning the reigning Telkom Knockout champions around.
"He does not only bring a wealth of experience, but is a shrewd businessman and we have no doubt he will help strengthen our administration and steer the ship forward. He did well at Baroka."
Chippa are currently in need of a positive change in fortunes as they sit second bottom of the PSL on 12 points.
Tuesday's clash with the Sea Robbers is set to get underway from 19:30 in Johannesburg.
