Nyirenda: Once you have tasted victory, you want more
Baroka coach Wedson Nyirenda says he has a tremendous appetite for winning trophies after helping Bakgaga to win the Telkom Knockout last year.
Nyirenda's side pulled off a major shock as they defeated giants Orlando Pirates in the final, albeit on the lottery of penalties after it finished 2-2 following extra time.
Nonetheless, the Zambian boasts a successful history as a coach from his time in Zambia as well as Mozambique.
In Zambia with Zesco United, he secured two league titles, two Barclays Cup titles and the Coca-Cola Cup between 2007 and 2008 before departing for Zanaco where he won another championship in 2009.
The 52-year-old also guided Mozambique's Ferroviaro de Beira to their maiden league win in 2016.
He told reporters: "I have won cups in every team I have coached and that is what made me confident when I arrived at Baroka that I will bring a trophy here.
"I'm glad to have contributed to the history of the club and Limpopo but we have moved on and look to the future. Once you have tasted victory, you want more and hopefully we can win more in future."
His side are back in action on Tuesday when they face National First Division outfit Jomo Cosmos in a Nedbank Cup Round-of-32 tie at Peter Mokaba Stadium. Kickoff is 19:30.
