Pitso: We stole the victory over Kaizer Chiefs

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane believes his side were fortunate to claim all three points against Kaizer Chiefs in Saturday's Premiership clash.

Sundowns ended a two season winless run against the Brazilians away from home with a 2-1 victory at the FNB Stadium last Saturday. The result keeps them in touch with leaders Bidvest Wits.

In the encounter against the Glamour Boys, Downs took the lead through Anthony Laffor before Willard Katsande leveled with a header.

Nonetheless, the away side collected all three points when a howler from Virgil Vries allowed Lebohang Maboe in to convert from close range.

Mosimane said: "It's too early, there's still Wits, Pirates, Cape Town City, you know, those odd ones, [to play]. So no, no, it's still too early.

"If you can say that, I think you're not thinking properly. And also, you're making other people be ready to beat you, so I'm not going to go into that space.

"I have to respect and tread carefully and take it one step at a time. But we have the experience, we know where we are, we've done it before, we know how to tread carefully.

"We've been here, this game [against Chiefs], we have a lot in the Champions League [that will be] like this, where you don't know what's going to happen. This one, I think we stole it. Let's be honest."
