Nyatama: United have your Kutumelas, Makaringes, Xulus

Orlando Pirates midfielder Musa Nyatama believes Wednesday's Premiership clash with bottom club Maritzburg United won't be easy as they have quality players.

It is a must-win contest for both teams as Pirates are currently in a battle for the league title race with Mamelodi Sundowns. The two South African giants are tied on 50 points a piece.

Meanwhile, the Team of Choice are rock-bottom and require a victory if they are to stand any chance whatsoever of survival in 2018/19.

As such, Nyatama, ahead of the game at the Harry Gwala Stadium, takes the view that getting three points can't be taken for granted.

He told Kickoff: "It won't be an easy game. We know very well that they're fighting against relegation.

"But if you check the players they have, it's not a reflection of where they should be. They've got good players, your [Thabiso] Kutumelas, [Fortune] Makaringes, Siyanda Xulus, etc.

"There are a number of other good players, and I don't think they deserve to be fighting relegation, so it won't be an easy game.

"We're anticipating a very difficult battle, but we will try to do our level best to win."

Kickoff is 19:30 in Pietermaritzburg.
