Negotiations at advanced stage for Masalesa to join Chippa
Playmaker Lehlogonolo Masalesa appears set to leave Black Leopards to join Chippa United with negotiations on a deal said to be at an advanced stage.
Masalesa appeared 14 times in the Premiership for the Chilli Boys as he helped the then Dylan Kerr-coached outfit avoid relegation to the National First Division.
Nonetheless, it seems the 27-year-old could not agree terms on a new contract with Lidoda Duvha and he will be collecting his coat and moving through the exit door when his deal expires at the end of June.
The player was due to join Free State Stars however Ea Lla Koto's relegation to the National First Division put an end to that agreement.
A source told Kickoff: "The club is talking to Lehlohonolo Masalesa and negotiations are now at an advanced stage.
"The club could make announcement in the next few days."
Chippa continue to build for next season as they have already signed Gladwin Shitolo, Diamond Thopola and Patrick Tignyemb as they prepare for 2019/20.
