Chiefs signing Kambole nets hat-trick of awards
New Kaizer Chiefs striker Lazarous Kambole was rewarded for his form for previous club Zesco United by being handed three major individual honours.
Kambole was awarded the Player of the Year gong, the Players' Player of the Year prize as well as the Most Disciplined Player of the Year.
The Zambia forward appears to be riding the crest of the wave as he has garnered enough votes so far to start the Carling Black Label Cup final against Orlando Pirates on 27 July.
It appears the 25-year-old is set to start for the Glamour Boys when they meet Township Rollers in Botswana on Saturday as a part of the club's pre-season preparations.
Meanwhile, Jesse Were, who was previously linked with a move to Chiefs, won the top goal-scorer of the year award.
In addition, Zesco's Marcel Kalonda win the most consistent Player of the Year and Anthony Akum snatched the Most Improved Player of the Year gong.
Amakhosi fans will no doubt hope Kambole can replicate his good form for Team Ya Ziko during the 2019/20 campaign.
