SuperSport confirm that Modiba and Rusike will stay

SuperSport United coach Kaitano Tembo has expressed confidence the club will retain the services of influential attacking players Aubrey Modiba and Evans Rusike.

Modiba and Rusike have been linked with a move away with a switch to Mamelodi Sundowns reportedly on the cards for the former and a transfer to Kaizer Chiefs for the latter.

The pair have proved to be an important source of goals for United and it appears the club from Pretoria have no intention of parting ways with their services.

As such, Tembo emphasised that the pair would be staying and that they are looking sharp and happy at pre-season training.

He told reporters: "The two players are not going anywhere, they are happy here.

"I always look at players' attitude at training and matches, I see happy players [with Modiba and Rusike].

"I speak to them on a regular basis. I know they are happy to be here and are well looked-after."

SuperSport are set to continue their pre-season preparations in Cape Town this following week.
