Sundowns midfielder explains why he does not want loan move
Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Sphelele Mkhulise admits that it will be hard for him to break into the starting line-up this season but does not want to be loaned out to another club.
The 23-year-old Mkhulise is highly-rated by coach Pitso Mosimane but finding opportunities to play him has been hard to come by as the experienced Hlompho Kekana, Tiyani Mabunda and Oupa Manyisa are all ahead of player in the pecking order.
Mkhulise impressed in pre-season, even getting on the score sheet against Red Arrows in Zambia, and feels it will benefit him more as a player if he stays at the defending PSL champions than play a season at another club.
In quotes published on Kickoff, Mkhulise said: "It's really hard for me to be in the starting line-up because we have great players, I mean Bafana Bafana players.
"It's really hard, but all I need to do is keep working hard and learn from them and the coach so that I can progress.
"I think it's better for me to stay here and learn from the coach, because he is helping me a lot with my game.
"I'm willing to learn from him and the players. I'm happy to be here. I don't feel pressure because I feel my time will come, and when it does come I will grab it with both hands."
