SAFA confirm Bafana fixture against Zambia
The South African Football Association (SAFA) confirmed on Wednesday that Bafana Bafana will play Zambia in a friendly international in Lusaka on 7 September.
It will be Bafana's first international since the 2019 African Cup of Nations and also the first since the departure of head coach Stuart Baxter.
It will also be the first match of interim coach Molefi Ntseki and he is expected to announce his 23-man squad for the clash next week.
The game will form part of the preparations for the 2021 Afcon qualifiers that will begin in November.
Bafana are in Group C along with Ghana, Sudan and the winner of the preliminary round encounter between Mauritius and Sao Tome e Principe.
The top two teams from each group will qualify for the 2021 Afcon that will be played in Cameroon.
