Erasmus admits Benni has been 'harsh' on City players
Cape Town City forward Kermit Erasmus admits that coach Benni McCarthy has been "harsh" on the players in recent weeks as they look to break their winless streak.
The Citizens have not won in three consecutive games with McCarthy particularly scathing of his players after playing to a 3-3 draw away to Supersport United last week.
City host Golden Arrows in an Absa Premiership clash on Sunday and Erasmus, who already has three goals this season, is looking for the team to bounce back from the recent setbacks.
Erasmus said, according to the Sowetan: "Obviously, the coach has been harsh on us and trying to get us not to commit the same mistakes.
"It's been happening far too often and at this level you get punished when those errors happen.
"But it's football - football is about making mistakes and rectifying them.
"We are working on them now and hoping we can rectify them at the weekend."
Cape Town City have one victory, three draws and a defeat in five league matches so this campaign that leaves them 10th on the PSL table.
