Wydad Casablanca v Mamelodi Sundowns
Mamelodi Sundowns will have revenge on their minds when they renew hostilities with Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League on Saturday night.
Downs have locked horns with the Moroccan outfit on eight separate occasions over the past few years, with their most recent meeting seeing Wydad come out on top in the CAF Champions League semi-finals last season.
Pitso Mosimane's are currently top of GRoup C and will be determined to avoid a slip-up when they travel to Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca.
And Sundowns' Thapelo Morena has echoed that sentiment, telling the Sowetan: "That's the plan because we know if we can finish top of the group then we are unlikely to meet the big guns later in the competition.
"They have caused problems for us over the past few years, but we will be ready for them. It was very painful last season to get eliminated in the semis.
"We thought we could go all the way, but Wydad had our number."
He added: "Playing away in the Champions League is not easy because you deal with so many challenges.
"The atmosphere at their stadium is very intimidating, but we are experienced and can get our first win there."
Mosimane will be boosted by several first-team players returning, with skipper Hlompho Kekana back in contention after serving a four-match suspension.
Themba Zwane and Gaston Sirino are the other two returning players.
Wydad head coach Zoran Manojlovic, meanwhile, is under pressure after failing to pick up a win in their last three fixtures in all competitions.
However, Wydad's home advantage should not be underestimated, with their passionate home support undoubtedly determined to make Stade Mohamed V a hostile environment for Downs once again.
