Tinkler hails Moseamedi and De Reuck's call-ups
Maritzburg United head coach Eric Tinkler has voiced his delight with Judas Moseamedi and Rushine De Reuck's national team call-ups.
Both Team of Choice players have been selected in the provisional 78-man South Africa U-23 squad, which will be cut down to 23 players to compete at the Olympics.
Tinkler picked out Moseamedi for special praise, stating that the 26-year-old striker has worked his socks off this season and deserves recognition.
"Very happy, very happy, some of them were in the wilderness years ago," Tinkler said, as quoted by KickOff.
"Judas was not catching game-time at Free State Stars and now he finds himself in the provisional Olympics squad, fantastic.
"They deserve it, especially Judas, because he has worked extremely hard to get where he is right now. But I explained to him that now the work really begins. Now becomes very tough because they are now watching you.
"He needs to keep pushing hard to be in that last 23-man squad, same as Rushine De Reuck.
"Rushine is having an exceptional season you know. Like I said, he has all the qualities to be in the national team but he still has to get that experience.
"Call-ups will be good for him. He will get there because I really believe he has qualities to be a great central defender."
