Chippa United v Arrows

Chippa United welcome Golden Arrows to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Sunday looking to build on their unbeaten Premiership start to 2018.

The Chilli Boys have taken four points from their first two games of the year – a win at AmaZulu and a home draw with Bidvest Wits.

Their good start has put them in eighth place on the table with 23 points from 17 matches. This week’s visitors are coming of a first win in 11 matches in their most recent game after beating SuperSport United last weekend.

They have three points fewer from the same number of games and Chippa coach Teboho Moloi is predicting a tough contest in the Eastern Cape.

“They are a dangerous side, and we know that they will come to Nelson Mandela Bay wanting to cause upset,” the home coach said. “It is a very difficult game but we are playing at home and losing is not an option.

“We are going all out for maximum points, and if that is not possible we go for minimum. Losing at home is not in our vocabulary.”
Chippa have been one of the busiest clubs in the transfer market and they pulled off another coup this week with the recruitment of Fares Hachi from Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Algerian is available for the game and joins new signings like Linda Mntambo, Mxolisi Macuphu, Bantu Mzwakali and Thabo Rakhale, who could feature.

The Chilli Boys have not reported any injuries for the game. Abafana Bes’thende are only missing long-term casualty Danny Phiri.
