Cape Town City v Bidvest Wits
Cape Town City will be looking to put an early dent in Bidvest Wits' title challenge when they lock horns in the Premiership on Tuesday at the Cape Town Stadium.
The Citizens are buzzing after claiming their first piece of silverware on Saturday with victory over SuperSport United in the MTN8 final.
Benni McCarthy's side, who lost the 2017 final to Matsatsantsa, will be desperate to snap a five-game winless run in the league, which has left them with just six points in the bottom-half of the table.
City also got the better of United on the opening day of the season, winning 2-0 in the Mother City, but they have failed to claim victory in the top flight since.
The Students, meanwhile, have made an impressive start to the new campaign and trail league leaders Orlando Pirates by just one point in second place.
After a horrendous maiden title defence last term, Gavin Hunt's troops have won four of their opening seven matches, although they will be hoping to bounce back from the 1-0 defeat to Polokwane City last time out.
Hunt added a whole host of new faces to his squad in the off-season and he's planning to give a few of them a chance to impress in midweek as he looks to make some changes.
"I kept faith with the same 11 or 12 players for the last six to seven games and maybe it's time now for changes," Hunt was quoted as saying by TimesLive.
"Time to try one or two others and give someone fresh a chance. Maybe I'll look to shake the place up a little bit.
"We were top of the league so we had to give the team a bit of time to gel because we've got a lot of new players.
"We've got a front pairing that is new‚ two wide players that are new‚ so in those crucial areas we had to give it a bit more time.
'And when you are winning‚ you don't want to change too much. So I gave it time and the players cannot complain about changes. But now let's see."
In team news, Wits welcome back Buhle Mkhwanazi, who was forced off with a back spasm against Rise and Shine.
The defender returned to training last week and is available for selection again, but Granwald Scott remains on the treatment table with a knee injury.
