Free State Stars v Bloemfontein Celtic
Free State Stars will look to derail an inform Bloemfontein Celtic in their Premiership clash at Goble Park on Saturday.
Free State Stars have struggled for consistency this season, winning just twice, while they come into this game having most recently lost 1-0 to Chippa United, after a 0-0 Baroka draw.
They are 11 on the league standings with eight points, while Phunya Sele Sele are, meanwhile, currently fourth with 14 points from their opening seven games.
They have won four, drawn two and lost just once this season - to Maritzburg United - prior to holding Mamelodi Sundowns to a 0-0 draw last time out.
It is a significant improvement for Celtic boss Steve Komphela, who last season struggled with Kaizer Chiefs, but for Ea Lla Koto head coach Luc Eymael, he has yet been unable to replicate their form of last season.
Ahead of this clash, Komphela told Times Live: "It's all about the mindset‚ working on the minds and changing the mentality. Obviously‚ we cannot be oblivious to what is happening and pretend everything is hunky-dory.
"So‚ we've worked on the mindset. Without focus and seeing clearer and hearing clearer‚ we wouldn’t have been where we are."
He added: "It's not been easy but the results are coming and they are giving us a sweat taste and the players are realising that with more focus they can achieve more."
After the narrow loss to Chippa, Eymael told SoccerLaduma: "That was a nice soccer game. The game was open for both sides. Both sides created a lot of chances, several chances. We had some clear chances. Unfortunately, we didn't succeed in putting the ball inside the net, once again.
"We conceded from a small mistake – a deflection. For the rest (of the match), my boys were in the game and we produced a very nice brand of soccer but we were unlucky."
The match on Saturday is set for a 15h30 kick-off in Bethlehem.
