Departing Khuzwayo thanks Chiefs
After playing his last game for Kaizer Chiefs, goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo has thanked the club for the opportunity to wear the black and gold shirt.
Khuzwayo joined Amakhosi in 2012 from AmaZulu as a talented youngster. However, the continued good form of Itumeleng Khune has led to a shortage of first-team opportunities for him, prompting a search for another club.
The 28-year-old deputised for Khune in their 2-1 win over Ajax Cape Town on Saturday, which wrapped up third place in the Premiership for Chiefs and a place in the CAF Confederation Cup.
After the match, Khuzwayo said: "Thank you to the Kaizer Chiefs family. It's been a great six years... Thank you, chairman, for giving me an opportunity."
Khuzwayo also reserved special thanks for the supporters, saying: "Thank you for the love that you've shown to me."
The Glamour Boys added on Twitter: "Fare thee well, Nhlanhla! Thank you for your contribution throughout the seasons donning the Gold and Black. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours."
